monday funday!

seeing as that it was my finals week this week, i haven't had time to really update my blog. and now that i'm on term break, i finally can. :-)

aside from the fact that i conquered finals week, i think this week was rather interesting for me. for one, i think my monday was spent eating. and not just any food, it had to be one of my absolute favorites: japanese food! i don't think my craving for japanese food will ever end.

i had lunch at yabu house of katsu with my friend, camille, and my boyfriend, gabe. always a pleasure to have lunch with these two since they love food as much as i do!

whenever i eat in yabu, i always order their pork katsu, specifically the hire. it's like regular pork katus, minus the trimming of fat. they offer you two options, either 100g or 150g. the first time i ate in yabu, i made the mistake of underestimating how much 150g really is, so i ended up not finishing my food. after that experience, i stuck to just ordering the 100g hire. it's just enough to satisfy my hunger and my craving!

camille and i ordered the same thing, which was the 100g hire, while gabe ordered the 150g rosu, which is like the hire except it has a trimming of fat. so for those of you who like melt-in-your-mouth fat in your meat, i highly recommend the rosu katsu. :-) i would also recommend the kurobota pork if you're willing to spend a little bit more.

after lunch, we left with satisfied tastebuds and happy tummies. yabu never fails to satisfy!

monday, september 3, also happened to be my brother's 13th birthday. feels just like yesterday that he was still shorter than me, but now he's a teenager and is towering over me. :-( haha.

we ate in sugi and yet again, i was a happy girl.

the twerp

my beautiful grandmother. would you believe she's already 73? :-)

my cool parents.

my lolo and his favorite. hehe.

miso soup.

cuttle fish sashimi

tuna sashimi (we also had salmon but it was devoured.)

dragon roll!!!!

beef tepanyaki! yum yum yum!

happy birthday twerp!

i wasn't able to take as much pictures though since my family basically devoured the food before i had a chance to photograph them. typical, now i know where i get it from!

whew, what a long post! i'm sure tomorrow will be just as eventful as monday since i'm eating at yabu again before heading to camille's despedida.

have a good weekend, everyone! :-)
